Sports for the Village
Laughton Parish Council is conducting a consultation on the feasibility of building a single hard surface court suitable for five a side football, tennis or basketball at the perimeter of the Pelham Field.
- The court would be owned and run for Laughton village by the Parish Council;
- The construction of the court would be entirely funded through grants, donations and fund-raising;
- The plan is to make use of the court affordable and accessible for everyone. Those households wishing to use it would pay a small annual membership fee. The cost to use the court would be at a low hourly rate although there would be certain times of the day when the court would be free for children to use;
- The court would be available for the school to use at certain agreed times
- The membership and booking fees will fund the upkeep and maintenance of the court.
